POSEIDON OFFICE / INDUSTRY
EFFICIENT LIGHTING CONTROL WITHOUT UNNECESSARY CABLING
With Respect for Energy
The POSEIDON system is built on ENIKA’s own development and experience. It offers an efficient approach to lighting control that combines simple installation, rapid deployment, and high flexibility with an emphasis on low acquisition and operating costs.
Thanks to its flexibility, the system can be used far beyond typical lighting control applications. It enables, for example, wireless transmission of ripple control signals, use in access control systems, or measurement of temperature, humidity, and air quality in rooms.
In lighting control, it helps reduce electrical energy consumption as well as maintenance-related costs. At the same time, it helps ensure appropriate lighting conditions in accordance with hygiene standards and contributes to a comfortable and safe working environment.
Another advantage is the ability to control the system from locations where standard installation would be difficult or risky — for example, in wet areas, on glass surfaces, or on flammable substrates. The wireless solution thus expands installation possibilities even where standard cabling encounters practical limitations.

From Reliable Transmission to Comprehensive Control
Reliable signal transmission is ensured by communication at a frequency of 868.3 MHz, repetition of the transmitted code, and two-way communication secured with a rolling code.
POSEIDON is designed with an emphasis on simple installation and rapid deployment. As a result, electrical installation companies do not require special training to install it.
The wide portfolio of components allows the system to be adapted to a specific project. It includes portable and wall-mounted transmitters in various designs, receivers for DALI, 0–10 V and relay control, lighting controllers, and sensors for motion detection and for measuring illuminance, temperature, humidity, or CO₂ concentration. This makes it possible to address not only lighting control within a single system, but also other requirements for comfortable and efficient operation of buildings and premises.
One Solution for Various Types of Buildings and Facilities
Its wide range of applications makes the POSEIDON system a solution for commercial buildings, industrial and logistics facilities. It allows control to be adapted to the specific needs of the space and its users – with an emphasis on energy savings, safe and comfortable operation, and simple control. The wide range of components and their modern design also make it easier to integrate the system into various types of interiors.

What Makes Up the POSEIDON System
Transmitters

Wireless wall-mounted switches, special transmitters, and desktop/portable controllers allow control to be adapted to the specific needs of the space and its users. Thanks to wireless communication, they can be installed on various surfaces, including glass, flammable substrates, or wet areas, even where running cables would be difficult. Any switch can be paired with any POSEIDON receiver within signal range. Control elements can therefore be placed exactly where they are needed, and their layout easily adapted to changes in floor plan or how the space is used.
Receivers

Switching, dimming, and relay receivers make it possible to control various types of luminaires and other electrical devices according to the requirements of a specific installation. A single receiver can be controlled from multiple transmitters simultaneously and can also be assigned to any number of groups. This makes it easy to create different zones and control methods and adapt them to the operation of the building. The system thus provides the flexibility needed not only during the initial installation, but also for later changes to the floor plan or the way the space is used.
Receivers for Shading

Specialized receivers make it possible to control roller shutters, blinds, and awnings according to user needs and current conditions. They support positional control and priority modes, allowing the control method to be adapted to a specific installation. In combination with weather sensors, the system can also respond to wind or rain and automatically protect shading equipment from adverse weather conditions. The result is more comfortable control, a higher level of automation, and safer operation.
Sensors

Motion sensors, occupancy sensors, lighting controllers, and temperature, humidity, and CO₂ sensors provide the system with information about current usage and conditions in the space. They can serve as an input for automatic scenes and equipment control based on actual need. The measured data can also be forwarded to a BMS system, where it can be further used for monitoring and controlling the building. Sensors thus help create a more comfortable environment and control operation more efficiently.
Interfaces

The Ethernet and USB interfaces allow the POSEIDON system to be connected to a network and managed using the POSEIDON Assistant tool. The P8 GWA DIN gateway then makes it possible to remotely monitor and control the entire installation from a single location. Remote access gives operators an overview of the system without the need to be on-site, making day-to-day management and inspection of larger installations easier.
Accessories

The POSEIDON portfolio is complemented by accessories for a reliable and flexible system installation. This includes antennas for extending the wireless communication range, power supplies, and mounting materials.

Configure the Entire Installation Clearly from One Place

POSEIDON Assistant is software for configuring and managing wireless POSEIDON installations. It allows you to prepare a project using virtual components even before the actual installation, configure individual devices, create links between them, and use the system’s advanced functions. For larger projects, the ability to copy configurations, use templates, and create links in bulk makes the work easier. You prepare the project in advance, finish the configuration on-site, and for any later changes, all components, their settings, and their links remain clearly organized within a single project.
1. Simple System Configuration
Set up the system clearly from a single location. In the POSEIDON Assistant application, you can configure individual system components, set their functions, and create links between transmitters and receivers.
2. Clear Management Even for Large Installations
Name and sort individual devices so that the project structure matches the actual installation. Navigating individual components becomes easier, so you can find the device you need to configure more quickly.
3. Advanced Functions Beyond Manual Programming
Has the customer’s requirement changed? Thanks to the clear management of components and their links, you can adjust the system settings according to the current needs of the installation, without having to start the configuration from scratch.
5. Prepare the Project Before Installation
Thanks to virtual components, you can create and prepare the project offline, without connecting to physical devices. This allows you to handle the configuration in advance and continue on-site with a ready-made project.
6. Bulk Copying of Configuration
For similar devices, you don’t have to create the configuration over and over again. You can copy settings between components and use templates to determine which parameters you want to transfer.
7. Bulk Creation of Links
Use an already prepared link as a template for other compatible components. For larger installations, this means you don’t have to create every link individually.
8. Device Search and Communication Check
The software can search for devices, but it also works with information about RF communication. A notable feature is the ability to search for receivers in the vicinity of another device via the communication route, not just in the vicinity of the connected RF interface. The route found this way can also be retained for further configuration communication.
9. Retransmission for Extended Signal Range
For supported devices, you can configure retransmission and adapt the communication path to the conditions of a specific installation.
10. Instant Visibility of Configuration Status
Clear status indicators show, for example, unsaved changes, ongoing communication, or a connection problem. During configuration, you thus get quick feedback on the status of individual components.

FAQ
POSEIDON is a wireless system for controlling lighting and shading. Switches, portable controllers, or sensors communicate wirelessly with receivers, which in turn control devices such as luminaires or blind and shutter motors. Thanks to wireless communication, no additional communication cabling or central server is required for control. The system is therefore suitable for both new projects and the modernization of existing buildings.
POSEIDON uses the 868 MHz frequency. Compared to technologies operating at 2.4 GHz, this frequency has properties suitable for communication through obstacles, and it also does not share the same band as common Wi-Fi or Bluetooth devices. This ensures a reliable connection even where the signal has to pass through walls and other obstacles.
In open space, the wireless signal can reach hundreds of meters. Inside buildings, where walls and other obstacles stand in the signal’s way, the range is typically in the tens of meters. If a larger or more complex building needs to be covered, the system’s range can be extended using additional antennas or repeaters.
POSEIDON can be used for a handful of luminaires in a single room, or for hundreds of components across a large industrial site. The system can be expanded gradually as lighting control requirements grow.
The system’s core functions — switching, dimming, and automatic control — all operate completely offline. For normal operation, the system therefore does not require an internet connection. A gateway and network connection can be added if you want to use remote management and system monitoring.
Receivers are part of the electrical installation, so their wiring must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Wireless switches and self-powered sensors, however, do not require supply cabling — they simply need to be placed in a suitable location. This allows control and sensing components to be installed with minimal intervention in the space.
Receivers connect to existing luminaires, and wireless switches can be mounted on a wall or on furniture. There is no need to run new cable routes to the control elements or to make interventions in the walls for that purpose. The system is therefore also suitable for renovating spaces where you want to preserve the existing interior.
Basic pairing of components can be done directly using a button on the device, without a computer or any additional equipment. For more advanced setup and system management, the desktop application POSEIDON Assistant is available. In it, you can conveniently work with groups, scenes, time schedules, and other system functions.
No. All settings are stored directly in the memory of the devices and are automatically restored once power is back on.
A single switch or sensor can control multiple receivers, and a single receiver can respond to multiple control elements. If the floor plan or the way the space is used changes later on, there is no need to rewire the control cabling — you simply need to adjust the links between the components.
One solution for various types of luminaires. LED, fluorescent, halogen, and discharge light sources — you simply choose the appropriate receiver based on how they are controlled.
The system can be integrated with other platforms, incorporating lighting, shading, and other technology control into the building’s overall automation.
With POSEIDON you get not only a lighting control solution, but also a 5-year warranty and service directly from the manufacturer in Nová Paka. Whenever you need advice or service, you deal directly with us.
The payback period typically ranges from 2 to 5 years. It depends on current consumption, lighting operating hours, and the extent of automation. Based on data about your building, we will prepare a specific calculation of the expected payback period for you.
The system is available through ENIKA.CZ partners and distributors. Professional installation is carried out by qualified electrical technicians. We are happy to help you choose the right solution and find a contact for implementation.
